Big Don Anderson (vocals and bass guitar) has been playing bass since 1978. He has been in several bands, including "Zodiac", "Rampage", "Blue Star", "Metro City Band with Rich Nesbitt", "Sonny's All-Blues Band", "Bulldogs", "South75Cincy", and "The Nebula Five". He founded "The Voodoo Blues" with the idea of playing songs with both improvisation and structure.

Kevin Cary (drums) has been drumming since 1976 and a friend of Big Don since 1986. His previous bands include "Blue Swayed", "Transit", "Chain Reaction", "Bulldogs", "South75Cincy" and "Nebula 5". He plays the drums with enthusiasm, and is a great asset to The Voodoo Blues.
Pat Ewing (vocals and guitar) is a singer-songwriter playing the Cincinnati scene so long we don't talk about it. He is currently working solo acoustic gigs, and with his band "The Crick Gypsies", along with his singing and guitar work with "The Voodoo Blues", "South75Cincy" and "Bulldogs". He is an inspiration to the rest of the band with his talent and wealth of experience.

He has a new CD of original songs, "After This Cigarette". Check out a review here.
John Redell (lead guitar and vocals) is a renaissance man of sorts. He is involved in art, music, prose and poetry, charity work, and he is the mentor for the Cincy Blues Society's Blues In The Schools program. He plays with several bands, including "John Redell And The Company He Keeps", "The Flock", and "Out Of The Myst", among others. The Voodoo Blues is pleased that he deems us worthy of his association.

Sean Smith (blues harp and vocals) learned blues harp by playing along with his car radio. He has no prior band experience, but he has learned very quickly, playing cool solos whenever asked and also singing some lead vocals. His version of Jonny Lang's "Rack 'Em Up" is not to be missed. Plus, he keeps the MySpace girls coming out to see the band. I guess they just love that bald head.
Jim Sanders (lead guitar and vocals) has been playing around blues and classic rock bands since the 1970's including "Blue Swayed","Chain Reaction" and "Metro City Band". He has also been a sideman to Big Ed Thompson and Keith Little. He is currently with "Smokin' Joe" Kubek and "Sonny's All-Blues Band" with local legend Lonnie Bennett.
Matt Brady (guitar and vocals) has played with several classic rock and alternative bands in the Cincy area. He's a young guy with a love for classic blues that makes him an enthusiastic player. He is a great off-the-cuff player that can pull off something cool whenever he is called upon to solo. He is also working on vocals.

Walt Grau (drums) has played around the Cincinnati area for more years than he wants to mention, most recently with "Sonny's All-Blues Band" with local legend Lonnie Bennett. He is also remembered fondly by many drummers, including our own Kevin Cary, as the owner of the former music store Sticks and Stuff on Colerain Ave.
Dr. Mike Sontag (drums) has been an active part of the Cincinnati music scene for almost 20 years. In addition to part-time duties with The Voodoo Blues, Dr. Mike performs regularly with "The Flock", "The Blarnacles", and "John Redell and The Company He Keeps". BTW, the "Dr." part is for real! Mike earned his PhD. from the University of Cincinnati and teaches philosophy at the College of Mount St. Joseph.
